Janice Mary Andrea Zawodny

A creative instinct and love for dance led Ms. Zawodny to quickly establish herself as a choreographer with diverse talents. She has worked with a myriad of groups in a wide range of styles, from musical theatre to jazz, hip-hop, and even a ballet or two !   Her professional career began at UMASS Boston where she was artistic director of the dance company, "Energize". Her musical theatre credits include many of the usual stock productions as well as original shows; her most recent being the pre-Broadway run for David-The Musical at The Emerson Majestic Theatre in Boston. She has choreographed numerous nightclub and floor shows, including the backup dancers and videos for recording artists "Honey Bee" and "Glory". Her own company, "A Feast of Friends Productions", was started  in 1994. The company's debut work, Weird Scenes Inside the Gold Mine, a dance anthology to the poetry of Jim Morrison, was well received throughout the New England Area. Since then, she has written, produced, and choreographed; for the company, the musical revue, A Century of Song and Dance, Weird Scenes Inside the Gold Mine:EP,  and two commissioned works; Poetry,Jack,and All That Jazz (based on the life and works of Jack Kerouac) for The National Park Service, and A Tale of Salome, for The Massachusetts Arts Council. A long time member of the Screen Actors Guild, she has been featured in the recent films, The Woman and The Invention of Lying. A former cheerleader for The New England Patriots, Ms. Zawodny holds degrees in PE and Dance from UMass. She was the choreographer for the famed SRO Players of Lowell for 20 years and is an original Co-Producer of The Merrimack Valley Jazz Festival on the River. Janice is currently entertaining audiences with The Adagio Big Band Jazz Show and A Snazzy Jazz Christmas.

Jan Gallagher
 

is the movement instructor and choreographer for The Merrimack Reperatoy Theater's Young Company. She has held this position with the prestigious summer program for children since 1999.
Her unique blend of creative movement, theater games, ensemble building activities, and dance  not only allows her students to enjoy performing on the stage, but helps them to a aquire a sense of poise and confidence that can be helpful in all areas of their lives.
Jan has been involved in Musical Theater as both  a performer and choreographer since 1974. Some of her favorite roles include  Alma Hicks (The Music Man), Alice Miller (My Favorite Year), Bubbles (Funny Girl), Frenchie (Cabaret), Revolutionary (David The Musical), and Frau Blucher (Young Frankenstein). She has choreographed musicals for several community theater groups and area high schools. Some of her favorites include Legally Blonde, Jekyll and Hyde, Beauty and The Beast , and Suessical The Musical.
She recieve a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Boston State College. She has earned a Masters Degree in Educational Technology and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Interdisciplinary Studies from Fitchburg State College. She has taught Phys Ed for over thirty years, the last 25 being at the elementary level.


Alie Romano

 A native of Chelmsford MA, Alie  is a recent graduate of Endicott College, where she recieved a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Dance. During her four years at Endicott, she performed in and choreographed for Student and Alumni Showcases and performed  with
the Endicott College Repertory Dance Ensemble as a featured dancer in several of their performances.  Alie was also a part of the dance team at Endicott which recieved Regional and National titles !!!!  
Well versed in all forms of dance, Alie holds an award from The Dance Teacher's Club of Boston for excellence in teaching Tap. She is excited to share her passion and love for dance, and wishes to inspire the next generation of dancers through her teaching.
